Xiaomi is all set to launch its latest flagship smartphone called the Mi 6 later this month. Now it appears that the company is also working on the successor to the Xiaomi Mi Max mid-range Android phablet. Ahead of an official announcement, the alleged Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has been spotted on GFXBench with the codename Xiaomi Oxygen.

According to the benchmark listing, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will feature a 6.4-inch full HD display. It is expected to be powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, mated to 4GB of RAM and an Adreno 506 GPU. The storage capacity on board will be a massive 128GB.
The listing further suggests that the Mi Max 2 will sport a 12-megapixel primary shooter capable of 4K video recording. For selfies, it will get a 5-megapixel front snapper. NFC support has also been mentioned on GFXBench. As of now, there’s no word when the brand is planning to unveil the Mi Max 2.
